| Aims & Ethos |
|
Women and men of all walks of life meet together under our common aim:
"The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action."
The aim has been underlined in our motto which is taken from Acts 27, verse 23: "Whose we are and Whom we serve." |

| About us. |
|
A weekly 'Women's Meeting' began in the church in Northfield in February 1952 and was run by a "...very enthusiastic committee."
In April 1955 the decision was made to become affiliated with 'The Woman's Guild' of the Church, and on 5th September 1955 the Guild started in Northfield.
In 2005 the Guild in Northfield celebrated its 50th anniversary. As part of their celebrations a new Guild banner was made to mark the anniversary. The banner was dedicated by Rev.Scott Guy during a special 'Anniversary Songs of Praise Service', and it now hangs in the church.
