Sunday Worship
Services at Northfield Parish Church are focused around the participation of the congregation, with emphasis on the children. Before the start of the service, the children meet in the Church Lounge for Sunday Club. The Kids are then brought into the Church and are seated at the front where Scot, and Adrian will then narrate and explain a Bible story. The kids will take an active part in this part of the sermon, acting out the various scenes. Normally to the amusement of the congregation.
While the kids are still involved we will sing a number of upbeat catchy simple songs, Adrian plays guitar and Scot will take the lead in showing the actions. These songs are specifically for the little ones but Kids of all ages enjoy them.

The Kids are then lead back down to the Church Hall, where they can do crafts or play with various toys.

Meanwhile, Scott will take the lead in the service, taking us through prayer and reading out any Northfield Church Family News. Often our parish assistant will then lead us in prayer, before Scot reads the sermon. The service will then be ended with a hymm and Scott performing the Benediction.

Harvest Thanksgiving
The annual Harvest Thanksgiving took place on Sunday 4th October. Once gain we would like to thank every body for their effort in assisting with this special service.

Read the full Story of the Harvet Thanksgiving 2009.

Communion
Communion is the time in which we remember Jesus by the symbolic participating of the Last Supper.

The bread and wine served at the Last Supper and at communion are used to represent the body and blood of Jesus. Broken for our sins.

There is many scripts in the Bible that we use in communion, The one bellow is from the Book of Corinthians

"And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes."
1 Corinthians 11:24-26 (NIV)

Nine Carrols and Lessons
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a format for a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus which is traditionally followed at Christmas. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols and hymns.

Rememberance Day
On the Eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Armistice day.

Remembrance Day and the Two Minute Silence have been observed since the end of the First World War, but their relevance remains undiminished. When we bow our heads in reflection, we remember those who fought for our freedom during the two World Wars.

But we also mourn and honour those who have lost their lives in more recent conflicts. Today, with troops on duty in Iraq, Afghanistan and other trouble spots around the world, Remembrance, and this two minute tribute, are as important as ever.Poppy
